COMMUNITY POLICE ACADEMY
Each year, the Human Resources and Training Bureau presents and hosts a “Community Police Academy,” designed to educate residents and local business people on various aspects of law enforcement. It also offers a deeper understanding of the issues and policies that a MBPD officer deals with on a daily basis.  Participants graduate with a greater appreciation of MBPD’s role in maintaining public safety in the community.   Classes generally run from the end of February to the middle of May.  To learn more about the next Community Police Academy, please call (310) 802-5111.

TRAINING
We continue to maintain 100% compliance with Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) requirements and Standards and Training for Corrections (STC). This training is of direct importance to the residents of our community, as it ensures that our officers and staff are prepared and trained to respond to community issues and problems.
