As a beach community, an important element of the City's aquatics program is ensuring safe use of the ocean and community pools. A comprehensive swimming program is offered at Begg Pool almost year round. This includes youth and adult instruction, recreational swimming, water fitness, lap swimming, a competitive swim team and special events.

Foster A. Begg Pool is located on the campus of Manhattan Beach Transition School which is adjacent to Polliwog Park. It can be reached by turning north onto Peck Avenue off Manhattan Beach Boulevard and driving to the end of the street. Parking is available on Manhattan Beach Boulevard and on the nearby streets. The pool is heated.  Dressing rooms and showers are available for pool guests.

Directions:

• Turn North on Peck Avenue (signal intersection) off of Manhattan Beach Boulevard.  Find parking on Peck Avenue.
• Follow the path past the Botanical Garden towards Polliwog Park and veer left to enter Begg Pool.
