Information Systems

Welcome to the Information Systems Division page. Personnel within the Information Systems Division include an Information Systems Manager, two Network Administrators, one Information Systems Specialist, two part-time Microcomputer Specialists, and three part-time Interns. The Information Systems Division strives to enhance the use of technology as a cost-effective resource to support the City-wide activities and support the operational, tactical and strategic information needs of the City.  The Information Systems Division responsibilities include:

  • Researching, designing, implementing, and supporting systems, software and hardware
  • Providing security, storage and virus protection for all systems and data
  • Planning for and maintaining disaster recovery to ensure continuation of critical business functions 
  • Providing help desk support services for telephone and computer systems
  • Maintaining and enhancing the city's web site, including video streaming and podcasts; please fill out a Comments on the City Website online form to leave comments about the city's website

The City's technical environment is comprised of Hewlett Packard servers, a Hewlett Packard Storage Area Network, Cisco switches and routers, Dell desktops and laptops, Hewlett Packard and Xerox printers.  The City has standardized on Microsoft Windows and Office.
