The responsibilities of the Parking Enforcement unit include managing limited parking resources through effective enforcement, investigating municipal code violations, monitoring parking and traffic flow at construction sites, and providing traffic control for accidents and street closures because of incidents (power  lines down, gas leaks, hazardous material spills, etc.

Parking Enforcement duties are provided by Community Services Officers, who work collectively with Area Traffic Officers and Neighborhood Watch Block Captains to minimize parking problems in residential neighborhoods.

Our officers will do their best to:

• Provide consistent and effective enforcement of all parking laws
• Work with the Community Development Department and contractors to address parking concerns at specific construction sites
• Be proactive toward problem solving as a result of complaints or calls for service
• Work collaboratively with residents on specific parking violation concerns to enhance a safe community.
