Manhattan Beach, a General Law City, has a five-member City Council, elected at large to formulate policy for the city. Each member serves a nine (9) month mayoral position during their four (4) year term.
City Council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM in Council Chambers located in City Hall at 1400 Highland Avenue. Meetings will be broadcasted live via Manhattan Beach Local Community Cable, Channel 8 and Live Streaming Video. Post meetings will be rebroadcasted at 12:00 PM on Thursday (webcast link may intermittently be unavailable due to vendor's scheduled system's maintenance).
